About Evan Vellis

My practice in HE sector administration is focused on providing an outstanding student and staff experience. My academic and professional journey includes time spent at several HE institutions in both the United States and United Kingdom, and this comparative insight has helped me to review key processes, improve governance, and inform organisational policy to implement change. I have a decade of professional experience in public policy, with the last 5 years spent developing my expertise in higher education policy; particularly in the areas of UK Student Finance and DfE Employment and Skills programmes, including Apprenticeships. I have research interests in HE practice and policy, specifically using BI tools better understand how instutitutions affect implementation of regional and national policy. I'm keen to build networks in the public and private sector so that Ulster can continue to meet the demands and challenges of a dynamic Northern Irish economy.
