About Evandro Pires

I am a leader, mentor, strategist, entrepreneur, and technology executive specialized in innovation. I lead multigenerational people and teams to innovate through the use of technology trends, software architecture, and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, I believe in leading with purpose, with well-defined goals, and assuming calculated risks to achieve breakthrough innovation. As a leader and mentor, I help multigenerational people to unlock their potential by understanding the different vision, goals and capacities they have to achieve a better communication skill, innovative mindset and being result oriented. I am passionate about technology and started quite early in this world, when I was 12 years old, I made my first codes using Clipper and DBase influenced by my father, who is also a programmer. I have led digital banking projects and developed digital solutions such as internet banking, mobile banking, and ATM, participating directly in conception, validation, development, implementation, and evolution. These solutions were used by more than users and 400k end customers. I have led notable innovations in low code for software integration and the use of machine learning. I have implemented a serverless first culture to increase the capacity for hypothesis validation, doubling the innovation team's capacity and achieving an 80% reduction in cloud costs. I am passionate about sharing knowledge and do so through lectures, mentoring, and the "Sem Servidor" podcast dedicated to #serverless, where I have recorded more than 25 episodes. For these contributions to the community, I have received a recognition from AWS as a Serverless Hero, the first person to achieve this recognition in LATAM. I put myself in uncomfortable situations to force the construction of my "next level" and usually tell my story of how I overcame childhood shyness and became an international speaker, one of my stories of unlocking limitations. I believe that multidisciplinarity is important to enhance creativity, where I take it to the extreme - I usually do many manual activities such as baking, pizza making, cheese production, woodworking, and more. Doing this in my day-to-day life feeds my creativity, which is the basis for the innovator I am. I love being with my family - my children and my wife.
