About Everett Dahling

I am a seasoned IT professional currently serving in a Senior IT capacity, with a strong foundation in systems administration, virtualization, and network security. I hold a diploma in Information Technology and Applied Systems from Vancouver Island University, where I graduated with a GPA of 4.31 and was honored on the Dean’s Honour List in both 2019 and 2020. I am also a proud recipient of the Governor General’s Academic Medal – Collegiate Bronze, recognizing academic excellence. Outside of work, I dedicate time to advancing my technical expertise through a personal home lab environment. This includes hosting web and virtual services using VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V, as well as managing a pfSense-based network infrastructure with Suricata for intrusion prevention and traffic analysis. These hands-on experiences have deepened my proficiency with enterprise-grade technologies and fostered a proactive approach to learning. Throughout my career, I’ve consistently been recognized for my initiative, leadership potential, and commitment to growth. While I acknowledge that no one can know everything in the ever-evolving tech landscape, I am deeply committed to continuous improvement and fostering a culture of learning and excellence—qualities I aim to bring in my role.
