And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good."- John Steinbeck A personal philosophy of mine is to strive for the best in the hopes of doing good. As a detail-oriented and persevering individual, I've been pulled in many different directions in my life by various passions- arts and aesthetics, Asian studies, and business. I hope to be able to pursue aspects of each of these important parts of my life in my future career or internship. Currently, I pursue these passions of mine in various ways: My interest in Chinese calligraphy, drawing, and practice of figure skating helps me develop an artistic eye and appreciation for beauty as well as a personal work ethic and time management skills. Having studied East Asian culture, history, and languages (namely Mandarin Chinese and Korean) gives me a more nuanced perspective and appreciation of the world and a desire to connect with people from various international backgrounds while also becoming more in touch with my own culture. As a current graduate student studying Luxury, Fashion, and Sales Management I am able to gain exposure to a range of business topics from Brand Management to Data Driven Marketing. This opens a wide range of knowledge and opportunities for me to be able to see how my personal passions can interweave with a business mindset. Currently, I am most interested in the fashion and cosmetics industries and addressing sustainability issues within them, as well as brand and product management and marketing.
