Evgeny Galyaev

Background

About Evgeny Galyaev

Dr. Galyaev is an accomplished experimental PhD Physicist and technology leader with over 20 years of experience bridging advanced research and commercial innovation. With a decade of hands-on involvement in major particle physics experiments - including Fermilab’s D-Zero and CERN’s ATLAS - Evgeny took instrumental part in designing, building, and commissioning critical detector instrumentation and processing algorithms, contributing to landmark discoveries such as the Higgs boson.Building on his strong research and technical foundations, Dr. Galyaev has dedicated another decade to the medical device industry, where he has led the research and development of detector arrays, X-ray sources, and particle beam transport systems. His ability to seamlessly integrate fundamental science with engineering, product development, and effective team building and management, has consistently enhanced intellectual property portfolios and driven the creation of advanced, market-leading products. As an entrepreneur, Evgeny's vision culminated in the founding of RDI - a pure-play scientific hi-tech startup focused on translating cutting-edge detector research into practical clinical solutions for cancer radiotherapy. Known for his no-nonsense practical approach combined with strategic vision, Dr. Galyaev continues to drive technological innovation and deliver results in both scientific and business environments.
