My research is centered at the theme of Mechanisms in Inorganic Chemistry with particular focus on such field as catalysis and materials chemistry. Google Scholar profile: https://goo.gl/gTSKAV Through understanding the molecular mechanisms of the inorganic chemistry processes underlying a catalytic phenomenon or determining particular unique properties of the materials, I try to formulate design principles for the synthesis of new systems with improved characteristics or optimization of the existing ones. In my research I combine approaches from different chemistry disciplines ranging from synthetic organometallic chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis to chemical theory and in situ spectroscopy. My main research interests include development of structure-property relationships for catalysis and functional materials, molecular understanding of catalytic reactivity as well as self-organization and molecular recognition phenomena in chemo-catalytic systems.
