About Ewa Ellis

Dr. Ellis has a long experience as a researcher in experimental medicine, she is docent in experimental gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Ellis has vast expertise in isolation of human liver cells and liver perfusion. She has extensive experience as a lab manager with responsibility for work environment, laboratory safety and legal compliance. Dr. Ellis has supervised both laboratory staff and doctoral students. She has a solid international experience in reviewing research applications within the EU, Canada and South Africa. She has been a member of the work environment group for many years and had delegated responsibility for chemicals, biosafety and flammable goods at institutional level. Dr. Ellis has many years of experience in preparation of applications for funding, biobanks and ethical permits. Dr. Ellis has been responsible for the production of liver cells for clinical use within a tissue facility with permission from the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO). She has been a board member in several professional organizations in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, transplantation and liver research and has participated in the organization of several local, national and international congresses within the framework of these.
