About Eyitayo Ogunyemi

I help individuals, investors and companies to handle their general legal, tax, property and business needs in Nigeria and across Africa. I have helped more than founders to register, structure their businesses and ensure proper corporate governance. I have acted for more than 50 angel investors and a number of venture capitalists to protect their investment interests. I have acted for more than 1500 founders to negotiate investment decisions rightly, ensure proper valuation of business, negotiate investment deals, value intellectual property assets, register them in different Countries, etc. I have helped more than 20 Foreign companies to successfully expand to Nigeria through business research and advisory on the Nigeria business environment, tax advisory, market research, government policy advisory, etc. As a Faculty member of different business institutions and as the Dean of Covenant Capital Business School (CCBS), I have trained more than entrepreneurs and helped them to birth, grow and expand their businesses globally. In demonstration of my competence to help people to birth their businesses and put proper structure in place, i authored STRUCTURE SECRETS FOR START-UPS (2021) and THINK LIKE A LAWYER (2020). I am a Partner at LAW ACCENT, a Law Firm that is fast growing and expanding across Africa and Europe to serve the unique needs of clients across the Globe and also be the ladder that connects them to expansion opportunities in Countries where it has physical presence. On the side, I have an African Dream which is to make law more interesting to non-lawyer members of the public so that they are able to use law as a tool for personal development, business growth, access to affordable housing options and nation building. You are likely to see that goal play out in my books, the way I negotiate and close property deals, advocate for the rights of people to housing and safe environment, my style of practicing law (even in court), my advisory sessions especially with entrepreneurs, on the board of companies where I serve either as a director or an advisor, etc. I am a plain writing advocate.
