About Ezra Ford

Fascinated with problems of computation and cognition from applied and theoretical perspectives. Graduated May 2025 from Pomona College with a double major in computer science and cognitive science with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience. Excited about bridging the gap between biological and artificial intelligence. Exploring how insights from brain sciences can enhance machine learning models and how we can learn from artificial neural networks to deepen our understanding of the brain. Currently wrestling with the concept of attention from cognitive, neurological, and computational perspectives. Began applying ML to personal investments and bias crime detection for the SPD, and led teams of students from across the globe in a push for responsible AI education and policy. At Pomona, I developed early multi-label classification techniques and custom ML pipelines to facilitate research into how conversation drives people to see things the same way. I also developed new brain-inspired model architectures with increased computational efficiency. Now, growing at Microsoft, working on agentic automation for Azure.
