About Fabio Abramo

I am an Internal Audit Manager with 10+ years of experience in internal control systems, risk management, and IT audit. I started my career at PwC before joining the Technology Risk division at EY, where I specialized as an IT auditor. As Technology Risk Manager, I led IT risk assurance and advisory projects for major listed companies, with a strong focus on SOX compliance and Italian Law 262/2005. Since 2021, I have been Internal Audit Manager at Telepass, reporting directly to the Chief Audit & Risk Officer. In this role, I coordinate assurance and advisory activities in line with international professional standards (GIAS) and the IIA Code of Ethics. My expertise covers cybersecurity, IT internal control systems, financial regulations (PSD2, BankIT regulations, DORA), and innovative audit approaches such as agile auditing and continuous auditing. I am also an active member of the AIIA Cybersecurity Observatory and contribute as an instructor on agile auditing, continuous auditing, and IT risk management. I hold several professional certifications, including CIA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, and Lead Auditor ISO 27001 & ISO 42001.
