Background

About Fabio Ansaloni

During my studies I have focused on condensed matter and solid state physics. Despite my passion for experimental physics, I have an extensive theoretical background as well. I decided to pursue a scientific career in the study of the transport properties of materials and their deep understanding, as I believe that such a research can contribute to an improvement of everyday life and to push the boundaries of technology and applied science. I approached the discipline from an experimental point of view as it offers the opportunity to face the challenges of the production of experimental set-up, a fundamental link between the development of a pure theoretical model and its possible proof, confirming its usefulness for the society. Personally, I am an open minded and creative person, with a burning passion for my work. I do consider curiosity to be the cornerstone of my professional and personal life, which I believe to be a fundamental tool in any field of science. I have good communication and networking skills, and I am always willing to help my colleagues and to share ideas with them. I believe that approaching a problem from different point of views is always constructive.
