About Fabio Contu
Since I was a kid my goal was to move to Canada and enjoy its wonderful nature and landscapes. Many years after, once I completed my Bachelor Degree in Biology and my Master in Molecular Biology, I decided to start my PhD at the University of Cagliari (Italy), in collaboration with the University of Manitoba (Canada). In February 2017 I moved to Canada and I've worked on my PhD project which focuses on the genome remodeling in Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I felt in love with fluorescent conventional 3D microscopy and super resolution microscopy. After completing my PhD, I spent a year as manager and Imaging Scientist of the Genomic Centre for Cancer Research and Diagnosis at CancerCare Manitoba. In August 2021, I became Field Service Representative for Carl Zeiss Canada Ltd. in Ottawa.
