Solid international experience as COO, Operations Director and Subsidiary’s Managing Director at top-tier companies in the Luxury/Retail/Manufacturing sectors, overseeing all activities to ensure business growth, operational excellence, and performance outcomes, identifying ways to regain operational efficiency on a global scale and strengthen competitive positioning in the worldwide market. Strong attitude to lead teams in environments characterized by a diverse international cultural mix. At Safilo (€1 bln in revenue), as the Group Chief Operations Officer reporting to the CEO, I led 14 Directors and had full oversight of Process Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Demand and Supply Chain, Master Data, Duties & Freight, Logistics, HR/Operations, and Finance/Operations. I managed the budget in Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) related to 7 manufacturing plants (Italy, Slovenia, China, US), 10 company-owned logistics hubs (Italy, US, China) plus 3 third-party centers, encompassing a total of 5,500 employees, 35 mln units per year, over SKUs, and 25 licenses. I also directly negotiated multimillion-euro multimillion-euro contracts in yearly B2B sales with a leading luxury eyewear conglomerate and other clients. Additionally, as the Managing Director of Lenti Srl, a Safilo’s subsidiary company with 115 employees, I led a turnaround that resulted in an increase in revenue from €14 mln to €20 mln and boosted EBITDA from 13% to 20%. As a member of Safilo’s Group Steering Committee, I also contributed to the 5-Year Plan for the Sustainability Group Program. At Luxottica (€9 bln in revenue in 2016), as the Operations Director for Brazil, China, and Italy, oversaw 45% of Luxottica's global finished-product manufacturing encompassing a total of employees, and managed the Region's budget in Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). I reported directly to the Group COO. I earned a Master’s degree in Management Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin, and an Executive MBA from ESCP Europe in Paris.
