Background
About Fabio Siniscarchio
The Brazilian tenor Fabio Siniscarchio began his vocal studies with tenor Benito Maresca in 2006 and later earned a degree in Music Education from Adventist University of Sao Paulo (UNASP) under Dr. Jetro De Oliveira. In 2011, he debuted as Tybalt in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette at Theatro São Pedro in São Paulo. As a member of the Opera Studio of EMESP - Tom Jobim in São Paulo, Fabio prepared and performed excerpts from various roles, including Rodolfo (La Bohème), Hoffmann (Les Contes d'Hoffmann), Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte), and Don Curzio (Le Nozze di Figaro). In 2013, he attended the Academia de Opera do Theatro São Pedro, participating in masterclasses with renowned figures like Renato Bruson, Giovanna Casolla, Gregory Kunde, Annick Massis, Steven Mercurio, and Marco Boemi. In 2014, Fabio moved to Rovigo, Italy, studying voice with Luisa Giannini at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica "Francesco Venezze" di Rovigo. With pianist correpetiteur Marco Ricciarelli, he delved into roles such as Duca di Mantua (Rigoletto), Alfredo (La Traviata), Don Jose (Carmen), and Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni). While in Italy, he performed at notable venues like Abbazia della Vangadizza, Teatro comunale di Rovigo, Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista, and participated in a commemorative concert for the birth centenary of Mario Del Monaco in Villorba. In 2016, Fabio secured a scholarship to the Haute École de Musique de Genève as an Erasmus program student, studying under soprano Maria Diaconu. Collaborating with Baroque music coach Christine Gabrielle and lutenist, he prepared a concert featuring selected arias of Italian composer Barbara Strozzi. Under the direction of Professor Francis Biggi, he participated in the concert "Fauvel au Cabaret Voltaire" showcasing music from anonymous authors spanning the fourteenth to the twentieth centuries. Currently, Fabio is pursuing a Master of Music in Voice Performance at Andrews University, studying with acclaimed tenor Charles Reid. Since 2017, as part of the Andrews University Singers, he has performed as a soloist in several concerts and collaborated with the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra in productions like Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Magnificat. Additionally, Fabio has expanded his skills as a vocal educator, teaching as a graduate assistant. In the last year, he has been involved as a Graduate Research Assistant, analyzing the archival manuscripts of art songs by American composer Blythe Owen under the guidance of music librarian Marianne Kordas.
