About Fabrice E. Evengue

Dr. Evengue is an accomplished epidemiologist, lecturer, consultant and a health professional with proven experiences in program development and management, evaluation, health care compliance, contract oversight, data analysis and program integrity. With over a decade work experience, Dr. Evengue is currently the Department of Defense Global Respiratory Pathogen Surveillance Program (DoDGRSP) Lead with oversight of 118 sentinel sites throughout the country and the world. He has authors/co-authors over 100 scientific reports on respiratory diseases surveillance for the Department of Defense. He is a former Health & Human Services Commissioner for the city of Anchorage, Alaska, and is also an effective leader who has worked well with people of different backgrounds and cultures. Dr. Evengue holds a Doctor of Health Sciences (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Bridgeport. He also holds a Master of Public Health, a Bachelor of Human Services as well as Associate of Applied Science in Human Services from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Additionally, he is a graduate of the DoD Join Medical Executive Skills Institute (DoD-JMESI) and has also attended the Medicaid Integrity Institute at the National Advocacy Center and the Executive Program at Harvard University-John F Kennedy School of Government where he obtained an Executive Certificate in Public Policy. Dr. Evengue is proficient in written and verbal communication in English and French. Knowledgeable at MS Software, Qualtrics, SEER*Stat for cancer data analysis, SAS 9.4 and SPSS. Dr. Evengue is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) certified by the Air Force Continuous Process Improvement and also a Human Services Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP) credentialed by the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) Incorporated. Dr. Evengue served in the US Armed Forces (US Navy) and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF). He received an honorable discharge from the US Navy. His research interests are on Cancer Epidemiology/Social Determinants of Health in underserved, underrepresented and minority populations (Alaska Native, American Indian, Black and First Nation) and on health systems strengthening and Universal Health Coverage in underdeveloped and low-income countries in Africa. Dr. Evengue's work has been selected/presented/published at local, national and international public health conferences. He also serves as abstract reviewer to health associations as well as a technical consultant for UNAIDS.
