About Fabrizio Calandro

27 years of experience in metal packaging for food processing. Passionate about Mechanical Engineering since I was a boy, I have been involved in almost all the departments. I started in the workshop, I moved to mechanical design for 18 years, then moving forward with the management of technical projects mainly in Europe. Over the years, I have been involved in new products and machinery development starting from the preliminary stages (study & prototyping) in order to implement and develop the needed technology for the accomplishment on high-speed lines. I have been part of the ORBIT project from CROWN (then Eviosys and now Sonoco) by designing all the equipment (rotary machines) and tooling ( press and rotary machines) in order to manufacture the product at 500 and parts per minute for 63; 70 & 82 cap sizes From 2019 to 2021 I came back to my roots managing CROWN & Eviosys Aprilia Plant Maintenance department. In this role me and my Team radically changed the plant tool room and people mentality. We improved existing equipment putting the foundation for future projects. From 2021 to 2025 I have managed the Massilly Group Technical Direction in the Clousres Cluster by implementing new technologies, best practices and general machines/ processes improvements and cementing the cooperation with strategic suppliers. Today I offer my experience to support the development of Business in Italy by strengthening existing synergies and creating new ones. All with particular attention to the needs of existing customers and with the ambition to create new ones. Passion, humility and sense of duty are the features that represent me the most.
