I am currently working at Valiant Clinic & Hospital, Dubai – UAE with the role of Director of Pulmonary Medicine REASONS FOR APPLICATION I am looking for a new position to further enhance and stimulate my career. I developed and led Respiratory Services and I will be enthusiast to contribute to enhance Respiratory Services in a competitive health care environment. Relocation is not an obstacle. WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER INTERVIEWING ME I am fully qualified, I have Italian CCT in Respiratory Medicine with solid experience in both Respiratory & General Internal Medicine in Italy, the UK and UAE with DHA license since March 2017. At Valiant Clinic, I organised, and I am leading a comprehensive Pulmonology Department offering services ranging from Allergy evaluation and immunisation treatment to most advance Pulmonary Function testing including Bronchoprovocation and High-Altitude Simulation Test. I led Asthma services in tertiary referral centres and I have significative experience in all aspects of COPD and management of patients with bronchiectasis, including patients with Cystic Fibrosis and patients with Mycobacterial infections. I have experience in Sleep Medicine since 1996 when I learned how to interpret a polysomnography and I set up the service with weekly sessions for diagnosis and treatment of sleep breathing disorders. I am clinical lead in Interstitial Lung Diseases participating actively to the Emirati Thoracic Society scientific activity as vice president of the ILD-Club. I wrote the protocol to offer Endoscopic services at Valiant Clinic. Techniques as BAL, conventional Transbronchial fine needle aspiration (c-TBNA), and Transbronchial pulmonary biopsy (TBB) are performed when appropriate. I have initial experience of Interventional bronchoscopy and Medical Thoracoscopy I have considerable experience in Critical Respiratory Care and Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV). I spent 2 years of my training in a Respiratory High Dependency Unit were both patients with NIV and Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation (IPPV) were admitted. I previously led the NIV service.
