About Faisal Alnemary

I am an avid researcher and a clinician in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as an academic with substantial teaching and admin experience. I served an advisor to the Vice Minister for Human Resources & Social Development (SD sector) for autism & disability-related issues. Also, I served as the Vice-Dean for University Development Deanship and a faculty member at Taif University. I consult for various governmental and private entities in the MENA region for disability-related issues. I have over 16 years of experience as a clinician and a researcher in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I began working with children with autism at Jeddah Autism Center in 2004. After moving the United States, I took several roles providing care and educational services to children with ASD and other developmental disabilities and their families, working as a behavioral therapist, a supervisor, and a consultant working in multiple settings and abroad via telemedicine. I have published several papers in peer-reviewed journals in topics related to applied behavior analysis (ABA), staff training, telemedicine, teacher education, and ASD research in the Arab world. I am honored to be the first Saudi male to be Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the President of the Saudi Arabian Chapter for Association for Behavior Analysis International. I also had access to world-class education in the field of special education. I earned my doctorate degree in Special Education from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and California State University Los Angeles (Cal State LA). My PhD dissertation looked into “Knowledge, Self-Efficacy, Use of Practices and Focus of Teaching Among Teachers of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Saudi Arabia.” I I’m interested in Ed-tech Startup & Technology.
