About Faishal Basher

I’m a technically curious problem solver with nearly four years of experience in broadcasting software engineering, project execution, and customer-facing technical support. My journey started in software QA within the banking sector, where I led a team and built a strong foundation in testing strategy, compliance, and collaboration. That experience evolved into a broader engineering role, where I’ve configured complex systems, automated workflows with Python, and worked hands-on with SQL, Confluence, and Jira to deliver scalable solutions.Over time, I’ve grown into leadership — mentoring co-op students, training new hires, and acting as a bridge between QA, development, and enterprise clients. I’ve directed major deployments on-site, ensured smooth upgrades, and refined documentation and automation practices to support long-term scalability.Outside of industry, I’ve contributed to academia as a teaching and lab assistant, guiding students through programming, debugging, and hardware/software integration. My graduate research in computational intelligence and optimization led to published work and conference presentations, deepening my expertise in algorithm design and technical communication. Now, I’m focused on cloud computing and DevOps — building hands-on projects and pursuing AWS certifications to pivot into cloud engineering. I’m driven by continuous learning, clear communication, and the belief that technical depth paired with integrity can create meaningful impact.
