About Faiza Khatra

I am a hard working detail oriented individual with a strong background in research for healthcare global politics and sustainable development. However my greatest passion lies in securing human rights and justice for refugees. I graduated with an MSc in the Politics of Conflict Rights and Justice from SOAS University of London. I am currently working as a Caseworker under the Refugee Single Homeless Prevention Service(SHPS)at the Single Homeless Project an independent charity that works towards tackling the homelessness epidemic in London. We provide refugees with tailored 1:1 support to end their homelessness and/ or potential rough sleeping by conducting Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs) and setting up personal goals to increase their involvement in the community as well as improve their personal development. I work with translators and other front line organisations to maximise support for my clients. The aim to create an inclusive safe and affordable environment for refugees where I work with them to support their housing and development needs.
