About Faiza Sait

I have always been a planner, and that is why at the age of 14 I knew I wanted a career in law. Putting my plan into action, I developed skills that I knew a lawyer would need: a strong command over language (both written and spoken); the capability to research extensively; analytical, logical, and legal deductions; time management; self-motivation; and the sort. Fast forward to today, I have graduated law school (with two gold medals); have 3 years of hands-on experience in Intellectual Property, Corporate Advisory, Private Equity, and Mergers & Amalgamations; and I am now, a legal transcriptionist (transcribing US legal proceedings) for more than a year. Working in law firms has taught me that: I thrive under pressure; I am a team player, but can work alone as and when needed; and that I can work hard and smart. Legal transcription has taught me that work-life balance is NOT a myth; and that my eye for detail and perfection, good listening skills, fluency in more than one language (English, Hindi, Urdu, and Tamil), along with my exposure to the way of life in the USA (having received primary education for 3 years in Illinois) will help my career grow in leaps and bounds, even as a freelancer.
