About Falko Schilling

Falko Schilling has been working to promote positive social change in Vermont since 2009. A native of Vermont, Falko received his law degree from Vermont Law School, double majored in Government and Theater at Skidmore College, and is a graduate of Vermont Academy. Prior to joining the ACLU as the Advocacy Director Falko spent five years leading winning legislative and grassroots campaigns as the Consumer and Environmental Advocate at Vermont Public Interest Research Group. Major victories included helping pass the nation’s first mandatory genetically engineered food labeling law and allowing dental therapists to practice in Vermont. Falko then joined Amy Shollenberger and the team at Action Circles as an Associate in 2016. At Action Circles Falko represented a wide range of clients including the Vermont Association of the Area Agencies on Aging, the American Federation of Teachers, Planned Parenthood, and the Parent Child Center Network. Falko worked with clients to develop campaign plans, create effective messaging, provide advocacy trainings, and lobby on their behalf. Falko is excited to be part of the team at the ACLU of Vermont, and to advance the organizations legislative priorities including their Smart Justice campaign.
