Hello there! My name is Falon and I'm a multimedia journalist/PM traffic anchor for WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Growing up, I've always known TV news was my calling. I used to make videos of myself "reporting the news" at as young as 10 years old! Although I always knew I wanted to do something with broadcasting, it wasn't until my senior year of high school that I really fell in love with the art of storytelling. During my time in college at Louisiana State University, I worked for Tiger TV as the entertainment director- producing and anchoring a weekly newscast, turning stories and managing a staff of reporters. Flash forward a few years, and I'm fortunate enough to be working at a family-owned station in my hometown market! At WBRZ, I wear many hats. My daily responsibilities include pitching stories, gathering information, filming all my own content, writing scripts, editing, and curating a web story all before I begin doing traffic on the radio and TV at 3 p.m. Under a strict time crunch, I'm still able to present stories with accuracy, not glossing over the fine details. I also fill in on the anchor desk as needed. I'm passionate about my career and will do whatever it takes to preserve the integrity of local journalism.
