About Fani Nolimal

I am currently working as a senior advisor in the department of Basic Education at the National Education Institute (NEI) in Slovenia. Due to my educationl and professional occupations (I used to be also a head of department), I have got rich experience in leading developmental projects, organizing and conducting professional meetings, conferences, workshops, as well as doing researches and leading evaluation processes. My main research fields are: system redesign; school leadership; autonomy, flexibility and accountability of schools; didactic approaches; differentiation and personalised learning; learning and teaching in mixed age classes; reading literacy and talented education (see more in COBISS). I am an author of many articles, published in national journals, author of two international comparative analyses, as well as co-author and editor of monographs on didactic approaches in mixed age classes, effective teaching strategies that promote high level of knowledge and reading literacy competences. Through my work I have developed several soft skills and competencies that will be helpful in each project, company or service, e.g. communication skills, critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, etc.
