Background

About Fanni Ristioja

I'm a data analyst, currently working with airborne emission monitoring and holding a M.Sc. in physics. In my work I focus on reporting greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to environmental decision-making and sustainability efforts. I have a couple of years of hands-on experience in airborne emission monitoring campaigns starting from the planning of the measurements to going through the findings and the final report with the customer. Before my career at Aeromon, I studied five years of physics with focus in astronomy. My studies gave me valuable insight of the functions of the world we live in and the tools for critical and analytical thinking. I wrote my Master's thesis about methane emission monitoring using satellite data with which I started my career in the environmental side. During my years at the University of Turku I also had several roles in the student community volunteering and being chosen to several roles in different organisations, such as the Student Union council and the student organisation of the faculty of natural sciences. Throughout my years in different organisations I learned valuable skills in group work, decision making and leadership. My volunteering work was always a hobby for me though I have noticed that the skill I acquired have also helped me in work life and balanced out my academic way of thinking.
