About Fanny James

I am a native French speaker and I grew up in Normandy, in France. My curiosity for languages and linguistics in general started early on and led me to move to the UK at the age of 21 to get a first taste of teaching French as a foreign language. My thirst for knowledge in the fields of language teaching and linguistics was then satisfied through postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford. Being a student-athlete (basketball) during these two years taught me perseverance, resilience, and teamwork. These two amazing years have helped me to become the team player and confident person that I am today. After a fantastic experience of teaching French and Spanish for four years in a boarding school in England, and I am delighted to have seized the opportunity to continue my career in an international school in Spain. In addition to my passion for basketball and language learning, I have several hobbies and interests: judo, cycling, windsurfing, sailing, swimming, travelling, ecology, photography, psychology, philosophy, and history.
