About Farah Razi

I am a dedicated professional driven by a passion for empowering individuals, families, and organizations through advocacy, mentoring, teaching, and creating tailored solutions. Born in Iran, raised in Germany, and residing in Canada, I bring a global perspective enriched by residing in three countries over the past years. Fluent in English, German, and Farsi, my diverse background allows me to approach challenges with a unique cultural and professional lens, fostering meaningful connections across borders. My career began in the arts, where I performed as a young dancer with the Hamburg Ballet, later joining the National Ballet of Canada and the Alberta Ballet. Transitioning into law, I have since worked to make a positive impact across various sectors. Since 2016, I have practiced law in both private practice and within the Federal Government, supporting a wide range of clients, including veterans and marginalized communities. My strategic, results-oriented approach to legal advocacy has enabled clients to navigate complex issues, from family law disputes to veterans’ disability claims. I am currently working as a lawyer with a general law firm, Laws & Beyond, where I continue to provide compassionate, results-driven legal services to my clients. In 2024, I graduated from the Higher Landing Women Rising Program, a transformative experience that further empowered me to refine my leadership skills and embrace new opportunities with confidence and purpose. The program provided me with valuable tools to foster meaningful change and amplify my impact in both professional and community settings. I am deeply committed to mentoring, coaching, and teaching. I currently mentor immigrants as a career advisor, teach German and English as second languages and am volunteering as a Grizzly with Higher Landing on their Grizzly Den. I hold an Honours degree in Political Science, a Master’s in International Relations, and an LL.B, equipping me with a strong understanding of legal frameworks, international affairs, and the power of cross-cultural communication. My dedication to helping immigrant families and individuals succeed is reflected in my ongoing work as a mentor to professional immigrant women. I continue to seek impactful roles on boards, in business, with the government, in education, and in the non-profit sector, leveraging my expertise in law and community development to make a meaningful difference. In addition to my professional commitments, I am a devoted mother to an adult daughter and a loving daughter to my father.
