About Fares Siddig
I’m a graduate from the University of Michigan-Flint, College of Health Sciences. I earned my B.S. degree with honors in 2022, majoring in Health Sciences and minoring in Psychology. I then completed a 2-year clinical research fellowship at the NIH through the Intramural Research Training Award program. I was raised in Sudan, and immigrated to the US for a better livelihood and opportunities with my family in 2012. I plan to pursue an MD/MPH degree and aspire to become an excellent physician-researcher working in underserved communities and improving access to healthcare in Sudan. I also want to continue mentoring other minorities pursuing a career in medicine along the way.
