About Farhan Sadiq

38 years of industry experience in Pakistan, Angola, Indonesia, Canada and USA that includes leadership (Commercial/Finance 15 yrs, Asset 3 yrs, Technical 12 yrs, Regulatory 1.5 yrs, Consultancy 2 years), negotiations for PSAs, bidding for new acreage, GSAs/crude sales, field unitization, pricing contracts with customers/ GoP and business development/M&A/asset evaluations. Managed many diverse projects and led multidisciplinary teams to achieve challenging commercial, project, production and human resource development objectives including asset management, ‘grass root’ gas plants and numerous M&A investment evaluations, acquisitions and disposals working for BP (25 years). Worked directly with the Oil and Gas Regulator in Pakistan as an Advisor thru USAID supported project providing technical, commercial and regulatory support/advice as well as providing recommendations on the various petroleum policies in place. Also developed SOPs for the key activities undertaken by the Regulator's office to facilitate uniform application and processing of requests/approvals. Worked on a World Bank project helping the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources in Pakistan as an Advisor for the WB Energy team. Currently working as a Consultant on various projects (Petroleum Technology Solutions and Hagler Bailly/TetraTech) on projects with upstream clients as well as the USAID's SEP Project helping the Ministry of Petroleum/DGPC in Islamabad, Pakistan on regulatory matters. Concurrently President of FILS Canada Inc. a company formed in 2018 for the purpose of acquiring oil and gas assets in Canada. Have also actively participated in various Industry fora (PPEPCA in Pakistan, ACEPA in Angola and SPE (including as Pakistan Section Chairman 2007-8)).
