Admitted to legal practice in 2002, I am an Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law, included in the Best Lawyers in Australia list for Immigration Law since 2013; included in the Best Lawyers in Australia list for Human Rights Law since 2014, and included on the Doyle's Guide's list of Leading Immigration Lawyers in NSW since it was published in 2021. I have advised and assisted with applications for a very wide range of visas and other approvals under the Australian immigration law, including those by employers, investors, skilled migrants, family based visa applicants, students, asylum seekers and refugees, and people with a distinguished talent. I also have significant experience in related administrative law areas, including Freedom of Information.Representative experienceA large part of my work involves assisting clients facing a possible or actual unfavourable decision, such those who do not clearly meet visa criteria, clients with health or character issues, those facing visa refusal or cancellation, and employers subject of a notice of intention to take action or sanction notice.I also regularly assist clients with Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and Immigration Assessment Authority (IAA) matters and with proceedings in Australia's Federal Circuit and Family Court, Federal Court, Federal Court and High Court.Publications and lecturesI present Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for migration advisors and contribute to immigration law journals and publications.Pro bonoI provide pro bono advice as a member of the AAT's Migration Duty Solicitor panel.
