Background
About Fatimah Tajuddin
I’m an interdisciplinary academic and educator working at the intersections of communication, education, and cultural studies. With a foundation in communication and a passion for social change, my work explores how media, education, and public discourse shape identity, belonging, and civic participation—especially among youth in Malaysia's diverse society. My research interests span youth and democracy, ethnic and interfaith relations, media narratives, and nation-building. I believe in the power of education and storytelling to cultivate empathy, critical thinking, and inclusive dialogue. Currently, I serve as a lecturer in communication and social sciences and am the co-founder of Pertubuhan Naratif Malaysia, a civil society organization dedicated to academic-activism and youth empowerment.
