About Fatmata Kamara

I am a passionate professional with a Bachelor's degree from the American University, specializing in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government. My career is driven by a deep commitment to advocating for individuals who lack legal representation and support. Currently, I serve as the Community Engagement Coordinator in the Office of the Bronx District Attorney, Darcel Clark, where I organize events, connect community members with vital resources, and represent the DA at community events. In this role, I also developed and lead a law school support group within the office to help professionals pursue law degrees while balancing work responsibilities.In addition to my work at the DA’s office, I am the Secretary of the African Advisory Council to the Bronx Borough President. In this capacity, I help lead initiatives that support and empower the African community in the Bronx and beyond. My previous experience includes two years at Success Academy—one as a 7th-grade math teacher and the second as an Operations Associate, where I contributed to the school’s mission of academic excellence and community development.Beyond my advocacy and educational work, I am also a model, blending creativity with my professional aspirations. I strive to use my platform to foster community connections and empower others through legal advocacy, education, and representation in the modeling industry. Looking ahead, I aim to leverage both my legal expertise and influence as a model to create lasting change in the communities I care about.
