Strategy’ which led to a massive uptake of Peer Work and other Lived Experience Leadership roles in Australia. Fay was raised on a farm in a remote area of Australia, has lived in Sydney as well as regional and remote areas. Appointed Inaugural Deputy Commissioner in 2013, appointed General Manager of Inclusion 2014. Previous to starting Vision In Mind she was the Director of Consumer and Carer Affairs with Illawarra Area Health Service, Manager of Peer Workers and Peer Worker/Consumer Consultant She sits on many state and national committees such as the National Consumer Reference Group. We have been appointed to start the National Consumer Peak Body. Fay believes every attitude that is harmful to others, once recognised, should be changed for the better by that generation. We know that the stigma and discrimination towards people with mental health issues is harmful, to the point of causing death. It is up to each of us, especially journalists, politicians, teachers, and clinicians to greatly improve the attitude towards people with mental health issues. We are all responsible!
