About Faye Jackson
I am an Occupational Therapy lecturer with a passion for facilitating our students to become empowered, holistic therapists. While teaching psychiatry and pediatric for occupational therapy, I continue to develop my skills as an OT through courses and my continued provision of therapy to pediatric clients. This is a value to my students and colleagues. I am a person who values team work and learning from those more experienced from me and I strive to learn daily. I strongly support the move to blended learning for the 21st century student and strive to include this in all my teaching. My masters project entitled, “The use of Framework Analysis in the alignment of the laws of rugby to skeletal development of children and adolescents” has enlighten my passion, interest and advocacy for Concussion and injuries due to sport. This interest has led to the initiation of my PhD journey in titled "A contextually relevant model of care for children and adolescents with sports-related concussion in South Africa" When not working I spend my time traveling to learn and embrace other cultures, values and beliefs.
