About Fayokemi Olususi

Fayokemi Olususi is a program professional and researcher with about 4 years of relevant experience working on public health and development projects. Her skill set includes research, technical report writing, comprehensive desk and literature reviews, qualitative and quantitative data collection, advocacy, community engagement, and stakeholder management. She currently works as a Program Officer at Preston Associates. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to proposal writing, tool development, program management, program design, monitoring and evaluation of government and donor-funded projects, data analysis, and training of data collectors. She has served as a state supervisor for the Mastercard Foundation – Young Africa Works (YAW) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the zonal supervisor for the Beneficiary Assessment of the Regional Disease Surveillance System Enhancement (REDISSE) in Southwestern states (Oyo, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti States) – a World Bank funded activity implemented by the Nigeria Centre for Disease, Control and Prevention (NCDC). Also, she served as a field supervisor for the Momentum Country Global Leadership/Water Sanitation and Hygiene Data Collection Activity in Eight Health Facilities in the FCT- a project funded by USAID. This involved collecting health-related information to estimate the costs and cost-savings of implementing a comprehensive infection prevention and control program in healthcare facilities. Recently, she served as a Master Trainer for the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine introduction mobilization in the Federal Capital Territory (Kabusa ward) – a project implemented by the International Vaccine Access Centre (IVAC) in partnership with the Women Advocates for Vaccine Access (WAVA) and the Direct Consulting Limited (DCL). Fayokemi contributed significantly by training community vaccine champions and mobilizing eligible adolescent girls for HPV vaccination in 10 settlements within Kabusa ward. In her academic pursuits, Fayokemi earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Biology and Public Health from the Federal University of Technology, Akure following a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the same institution. Her dedication to academic excellence is evident through the publication of three articles based on her research works during her academic journey. Fayokemi is passionate about public health promotion.
