About Federico Campi

I'm a mechanical engineer with a Ph.D in Industrial Engineering obtained from Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy). I started the Ph.D. course at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (DIISM) at Università Politecnica delle Marche in November 2017 obtaining the title of Ph.D. in May 2021. My Ph.D. was partially funded by Baker Hughes company, a world reference for turbomachinery applications. During and after my academic training, my research was based on the environmental sustainability of industrial products and processes, in Design for Manufacturing, Design to Cost, Life Cycle Costing and in the study of analytical and / or parametric cost models for mechanical components, in particular forged, casted and machined parts of gas turbines. From November 2021 to February 2024 I worked as a mechanical and electro-acoustic designer at Elettromedia s.p.a, dealing with the development of high frequency speakers (compression drivers in particular). My work started from electroacoustic design of the products through FEM simulations and end with the drawings of components using CAD software. From March 2024 I work as an engineer for mechanical components at Baker Hughes ADV team in Porto Recanati plant.
