About Federico Cattaneo

I lead the AI Foundation team at Studocu, building the core AI systems that power learning for 40 million students. Before leading the team, I took an AI agent product from idea to 1.6M users with 40%+ conversion. Now I'm building the infrastructure that makes that kind of success repeatable: citation systems that show where answers come from, deep search that pulls from multiple sources intelligently, and study assistants that actually understand what students need next. I build with LangGraph and LangChain, implement RAG systems that don't hallucinate, and use Langfuse to make sure everything works in production. My job is equal parts product strategy, agent design, and team coordination—making sure Foundation enables other teams without blocking them. My background is unusual for AI product: Human-Computer Interaction, Marketing, and Gaming. It means I think about how people actually use AI, how to explain complex tech simply, and how to build things people want to use every day. I also consult on AI product strategy—helping companies figure out agent architecture, evaluation, and how to go from prototype to production without breaking things.
