About Federico Pigni

I recently concluded my formal tenure as Dean of Faculty, Pedagogy, and Research at Grenoble Ecole de Management, where I had the privilege of leading a vibrant community of 180+ academics and fostering a culture of innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic excellence. In this transition phase, I am supporting the new Dean to ensure a seamless handover and continuity of strategic initiatives until July 2025. Concurrently, I am committed in supporting GEM’s new strategic plan EAGLE 2030, spearheading digital transformation, innovation-driven learning models, and ecosystem engagement. As Full Professor of Information Systems, I continue to integrate cutting-edge technologies—AI, Big Data, Digital Twins, immersive environments—into both academic research and pedagogical innovation. My focus is on how digital innovations reshape organizations, business models, and education, enabling both individuals and institutions to adapt and thrive. I currently lead GEM’s contribution to major initiatives such as DIGI-ME and UPRISE, EU-funded projects aimed at fostering personalized digital learning and developing a new generation of European leaders in management, innovation and entrepreneurship. This work blends personalized education, advanced digital skills (e.g, explainable AI, xAR, blockchain, data analytics), and new models for transformative learning experiences.
