About Fedha Flora

Dr. Fedha Flora is a senior lecturer and Researcher with over 14 years working with Curriculum Instructional and Educational Management at Egerton University, Kenya. She holds a PhD (Educational Planning and Management specialty) at Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), a Masters of Education Degree in Education Administration and Planning of Kenyatta University, Bachelor of Education (of Egerton University) and Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management. Fedhas’ research expertise and interests are in the areas of Management, Curriculum development, mobilization, and community capacity building. She is a trainer in Educational Management courses, has been involved in capacity building, worked in Kajiado an ASAL region for 15 years, Training and evaluation of security Management in Southern Sudan, Involved in The Partnership Pedagogical Leadership in Africa project organized by Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR). Involved in the Monitoring and Evaluation project on Economic analysis of smallholder dairy Cooperatives funded by Small Dairy Commercialization Program(SDCP). She has been involved in the Management of Nairobi City Campus Educational Programmes, and Curriculum Development, Implementation. Is a reviewer of Curriculum in Pedagogy and Leadership (PEDAL Programme) and reviewer of E- Learning Course Material for Open and Distance Education, and writing E-learning training modules. She has been in the lead in development of Constitutions for academic staff, Youth groups in the University constituency and women groups in Bungoma County. Currently, Chair of Educational Management Society of Kenya whose objective involves capacity building for schools principals and other management institutions’ and to inform policy. In charge of Teaching Training and Field work programmes in the Faculty of education and community studies of Egerton University. She is involved in conducting stakeholder meetings and engagement both at the University and local levels. Fedha aspires for good community relationship and coexistence, empowered youth and women. She enjoys traveling, reading, and giving back to the community.
