About Feifei Xu

I have more than 10 years experiences working with data from life science domain, specialised in genomic and transcriptomic data. I have also nurtured a growing interest in AI, and have learnt a lot in the field through online courses and projects. I would like to combine my experience in big data with my new interest in machine learning, to develop my career further. Working in research environment often means multiple parallel projects with all kinds of collaborators, and projects tend to not be well defined to begin with. I’ve learnt to be good at project management, organising projects into manageable small tasks, prioritizing tasks/projects so they gets done. I’ve also learnt to be good at communication, both verbal and in writing. I’m a good team player as well as a good project leader, with proven ability to generate creative solutions to challenging research problems. My colleagues often describe me as ‘considerate, easy-going and a problem-solver’. Apart from work, I like to spend my free time in the following activities, painting, reading, origami, sewing, yoga, dancing, running. These keep my spirits up in the dark cold winter in Sweden.
