With over five years of dedicated service at Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children, my journey from a Social Worker to a Supervisor Social Worker has been guided by a steadfast commitment to child advocacy and family services, all underpinned by prevention. As a Registered Social Worker, I weave my expertise in child welfare into every facet of my role, ensuring the best outcomes for the families and community we support. Our team continuously strives to align with Oranga Tamariki’s principles especially around preventing further harm to young people, their family, and the community, bringing diverse perspectives and a bicultural approach to better the trajectory they’re on. My core competencies lie in empowering families and protecting children from harm, a mission that resonates deeply with my values and the culture of our organization.
