Quality Improvement is NOT one person, a department, or additonal work. Quality Improvement is constant, committed, and collaborative actions that starts with clear mission and vision. The existence of QI assures the culture, work processes, and activities of an organization drive the desired impact that is sustainable and will allow the organization to grow. It requires a combination of evidence, research, experience, and collaboration to achieve operational, strategic program outcomes. Quality Improvement and change management are tied. To achieve the best possible outcomes there must be continuous commitment to incorporate technological advancements, automation, and lean and effective work processes and flows. These solutions must be trackable and flexible. Quality is intentional and on purpose. My years of experience with quality has allowed me to see infinite possibilities of how to strategically set goals and action steps for programs and organizations that surpass yesterday's baseline.
