About Felicity Nelson

I have a long-held interest in how adults collaborate, learn and grow in organisational contexts. In more recent years I have had the opportunity to work with experts in strategic innovation, complexity and systems thinking, adult development, system design and organisational design. This has enabled me to design and implement innovative design methods, practices, and strategic risk management solutions to manage individual and organisational responses to disruption. Using business modelling and human-centred design approaches that enable the organisation to renew and its people to self-manage through change. Prior to my shift into strategic innovation, my career experience was in large corporate people and culture roles. I was a human resources executive with over 15 years of experience across telco, energy, financial services and professional services sectors. I have led teams of HR, learning and development and change management professionals. I have had proven success in increasing employee engagement, leading culture change programmes, developing capability frameworks for learning and leadership, performance management systems, talent management, succession planning and diversity and inclusion. Currently, I co-lead the Strategic Innovation team at Aruma, Australia's largest specialist disability services provider.
