About Felicity Sheldon

I consider myself to be friendly, proactive, technical, creative, flexible, empathetic and eager to learn individual. I work well in a team and use my initiative when working on my own. I have a vast amount of skills and knowledge having worked 10 years within dentistry. Having a unique background in dentistry has allowed me to empathize with Doctors, Dentists, Dental Nurses, Lab Technicians and patients. Seeing dentistry from a vast perspective. Qualifying from Dental Nurse, Specialist Dental Nurse and finally as CAD CAM Dental Technician, having spent four and a half of those years working at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in the Maxillofacial Orthodontic Laboratory as a Trainee Dental Laboratory Technician and the final 14 months as a CAD CAM Dental Technician using 3Shape and Exocad. I have always enjoyed using computers and when I first left University I built my own website. I taught myself Adobe and other designing/animation softwares. This would naturally lead me to join a rapidly evolving part of dentistry in CAD CAM. I used Microsoft Excel and Word on a daily basis to record and log all appliances that I had manufactured in the hospital. Listing each of the products serial number onto a communal spread sheet document, designed for Medical Devices. I go above and beyond to help my team succeed and achieve our goals. While always keeping in mind how we can help patients receive the best quality care. One of my biggest strengths is my ability to empathize, and stay calm in high stress situations. I am passionate about making sure patients/colleagues/clients feel heard. Interests - Originally from the UK we arrived in California at the end of November 2022 due to my husbands career promotion. I am exploring the American culture so far I have visited Napa Valley and Lake Tahoe. When I was eighteen I travelled around Australia and New Zealand on my own which gave me self-confidence which is needed in young adulthood. I enjoy exploring different countries, especially the Greek islands. I have found that getting out of your comfort zone makes life much more interesting and my knowledge is richer for it.
