About Felipe Braun

I graduated in Chemical Engineering in 2010 and was ranked in the top 10 of my class at IME (Instituto Militar de Engenharia). For 3 years I worked at the army's technological center of research and then I applied for Process Engineering at Petrobras. In 2018 I got a master's degree in Chemical Engineering by COPPE/UFRJ, which is recognized as one of the best in the field of Chemical Engineering. I also did a postgraduate course in Business Intelligence by PUC-Rio. Since I joined Petrobras I have been working with surface systems (FPSOs), providing conceptual, basic and detailed designs. At first, I worked developing methodologies for sizing equipment and process systems, as well as preparing manuals and tools. I also participated in the recent main designs of Petrobras. As soon as I arrived at Petrobras, I was still able to participate of Cessão Onerosa Basic Design (P-74, P-75, P-76 and P-77). I have worked since from the beginning on the conceptual and basic reference design (P-78 and P-79). In the next design, high-capacity (P- 80, P- 82 and P-83), I became Process Job Leader at Basic Design, which is responsible for defining the plant, deciding issues related to the topside, leading the process team, prepare project schedule and execution procedures, lead meetings with the other areas and represent the Process discipline in general analysis (HAZOP, APR for example) and other events with external areas. Currently, I am again a Process Job Leader in the High Capacity with Export - All Electric (P-84 and P-85) Conceptual and Basic Design. I also participated in other important designs for the company, such as the re-injection of produced water of ten platforms in compliance with the new Conama regulations, support detailed designs, LIBRA, among others. I am proud to say that I have already delivered several platforms to Petrobras and to Brazilian society.
