About Felipe Cabrera

I am a driven and focused individual with a strong background in finance and a passion for tax law. I graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor's in finance, where I gained a comprehensive understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and financial analysis. Building on this foundation, I concentrated on tax classes in law school, where I expanded my knowledge and honed my skills in tax law and how the Internal Revenue Code applies to different entities. Currently, I am pursuing an LL.M. in taxation at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law where I am diving deep into the intricate and high-level complexities of taxation. My studies encompass a wide range of tax-related classes including corporate, estate and gift, advanced partnership, international, and private equity taxation. As I progress through my studies, I have developed a keen interest in private wealth services and tax structuring as I am drawn to the complex and dynamic nature of this field. My goal is to use my financial and legal background to provide private wealth services to high-net-worth individuals. I wish to counsel clients in planning and executing tax-efficient operations, structures, and financing while taking into consideration changes in tax laws, market conditions, and family business situations.
