Felipe Eduardo Chapman Arias is the current Minister of Economy and Finance of Panama, a position he has held since July 2024. Previously, he was Managing Partner and Chairman of the Board of Directors at INDESA, where he led the management and strategy of the group’s businesses in economic research and analysis, financial advisory, investment banking services, financing, and private equity investments. He was also President of the Panama Stock Exchange, where he spearheaded technological modernization and the implementation of public debt auctions. Additionally, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Panama and Chairman of its Audit Committee. Chapman has served as an independent director at several institutions, including Banistmo, MEDCOM, Grupo Eleta, Félix B. Maduro, and in the non-profit organization, the Psoriasis Foundation of Panama. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brown University and an MBA from INCAE Business School.
