About Felipe Cruz

I am a First-Generation Latino PhD Student at UC Riverside. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology and Education (with an emphasis on Cognitive and Learning coursework) at UC Riverside. Later, I applied and accepted UC Riverside's offer into the Psychology PhD Program, with a Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience Specialization. I will be working alongside Dr. Annie S. Ditta and the TEACH Lab throughout my graduate studies. Some of my research interests include: learning strategies, memory, metacognition, multimedia learning, and statistics learning. I am specifically interested in finding effective metacognitive techniques that assist students' learning and helps them apply it into real-world applications. Moreover, I aspire to become a College Professor in the near future. I am always open to providing advice and mentoring students, especially those interested in graduate school or research. Additionally, I am open to hearing about Psychology or Educational related events, such as talks and conferences. I am a firm believer of lifelong learning and always willing to build new connections.
