About Felipe Quezada Diaz

I'm a board-certified colorectal and general surgeon with advanced fellowship training from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and a strong academic foundation in colorectal surgical oncology. I practice in both public and private sectors in Santiago, Chile — at Complejo Asistencial Doctor Sótero del Río and Clínica Universidad de los Andes — with a focus on minimally invasive robotic surgery, rectal cancer, and colorectal cancer screening. I’m especially passionate about innovation in surgical oncology, including organ-preserving strategies for rectal cancer. I’ve led and collaborated on international clinical research, with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and contributions to major surgical texts. An active member of ASCRS, SSO, ESCP, and FACS, I frequently speak at national and international congresses and contribute to surgical education throughout Latin America.
