Graduated as Eletronic Engineer by CEFET-RJ in 1986, MBA in Business Management by IBMEC-RJ in 2007. I started as Intern Engineer at Hewlett Packard in 1985. In 1986 I joined Sony Brazil as Trainee Engineer, and this was the begining of a long career as support/field/pre-sales engineer for the broadcast and professional video market. From 1986 to 2006, I worked as engineer, sub-chief, chief, and manager of Broadcast & Professional Technical Support & Engineering Department. During all those years, I had the opportunities to attend several training courses in Sony Japan and Sony USA. For 2 decades I use to be up to date with the state of the art technology in video hardware, such as Video Tape Recorders (many different formats), Optical Disc decks (XDCAM), camera systems, camcorders, video switchers, linear editors, monitors, projectors, pro-audio and video systems in general. There's a special place in my career for my work as international support field engineer. From 1994 to 2006 I used to attend several sport events to support broadcasters from Brazil and from all over the world. I joined the following event as part of Sony Broadcast International Support Team : FIFA World Cup Editions : 1994(USA), 1998(France), 2002(Japan/South Korea) and 2006(Germany), Olympics Editions : 1996(Atlanta-USA), and 2004(Athens-Greece). In 2006 I was invited to move from engineering to sales. Looking for "new emotions" I accepted the challenge and started my sales career as Regional Sales Manager in Sony Rio de Janeiro branch, handling some major key accounts. In 2012 I assumed as National Sales Manager in charge of brazilian broadcast & professional video content creation market. In 2015, the Corporate & Education and Medical business areas were added to my sales umbrella. Working for a company like Sony, which is always at the leading edge of technological innovations, is a constant challenge. Technology is always changing, being updated is mandatory. And I like it.
